The Competitions Committee has released an updated IKF ranking taking into account the results of the 2007 Asia Oceania Youth Championships 2007 and the Eastern and Western divisions of the European Bowl.
The text of the General Principles of the IKF Ranking has also been amended to include the Bowl, as this event did not exist when the original ranking system was set up.
In addition, since several of our major events now take place in November, the "Ranking Year" now starts on 1 November each year instead of using the calendar year. Under the old scheme, an event taking place in November, like this year's WC, would have lost much of its weighting after less than two months as it would have moved into the "previous year" category on 1 January.
